Photovoltaic module which operates with a light concentration system, comprises: (a) substrate (11); (b) a layer of semiconductor material (12) separated from the substrate by an electrical insulating layer (13), elongated strips (15) each with an inlet surface to receive the light being fed into the semiconductor layer and each strip bordered by electrical insulating walls (14) which extending to the insulating layer, each strip incorporating doped zones (D1, D2); (c) intermediate metal tracks (17) electrically connecting, in series, elongated strips of semiconductor material and arranged parallel to the insulating walls; and (d) end metallic tracks (18) constituting outlet electric contacts connected to the end strips of the semiconductor strips. An Independent claim is also included for: the fabrication of a photovoltaic module.
