The device has an assembly with a hopper-plug having an inlet opening below an outlet opening of a hopper tank storing gravels. A spreader (10) has a dosing roller integrated to the plug outlet, and a ramp integral to the plug and spreader. The ramp and the spreader are mounted to the back of a chassis (4) of a road-making machine. The assembly is adjusted in position in the transverse direction of the machine.
