The method involves closing one part of a pallet truck apparatus against an integral retainer (1) of the floor (PL) of a vehicle by the immobilization caused by a support. The operation of supporting is executed by activating a hydraulic control system either in the direction of the uprising of a pair of mobile horizontal arms before lowering or in the direction of the lowering of the arms before uprising. An Independent claim is also included for a device for immobilizing a pallet truck apparatus.
