The gear has multiple independent struts, each with a positioning jack (110) connected to a shock absorber (109). The assembly of the jack and the absorber is placed between a base of a shock compensating rocker beam and a mobile unit (113). The jack is arranged to shorten and/or extend for compression or for heightening of the strut when the aircraft is at the stop or in slow movement at the ground. A connecting rod (107) is placed between the beam and a linking point that is in between the positioning jack and the shock absorber.
