The method involves obtaining an encryption key in response to a request of transfer of digital signal by a client station to a recipient station, using a client server device. A client server device obtains a digital signal and encodes the digital signal with the encryption key. The encoded signal is transferred to a recipient server device that is associated with a recipient station. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a process of transfer of a digital signal representing a physical unit having been encoded by a encryption key , in a communication network (b) a device for transfer of a digital signal representative of physical unit being encoded from an encryption key, in a communication network (c) an information medium, totally or partially removable, readable by a computer system, having computer program instructions to allow the implementation of a method of transfer of digital signal representing a physical unit.
