The sterilizing of medical instruments consists of subjecting them to a cold plasma flow which is obtained while subjecting an appropriate gas to an electric field. The objects to be sterilized are placed in a sterilizer inside a sachet which is then sealed to enclose a certain volume of the gas. The sachet is placed in a sterilization chamber and the cold plasma is induced by acting on the pressure of the enclosed gas inside the sachet.
