The device has a processor (4) to acquire two points (10, 20) positioned in a 3dimension (D) model through a user-interface e.g. mouse (6). The processor deducts the position of a geometrical axis (100) defined by the two points on the 3D model. The processor re-positions the 3D model in such a way that the axis is found in a predefined position with respect to the plane of a display screen (2). An independent claim is also included for a display process of a 3D model in medical imaging.
