The console has a mobile armrest (50) placed in a position of use as per a plane that is horizontal above an orifice. The armrest (50) is fixed to the console by an intermediary of a support (70) in which is fitted a grip (27) defining a portion of grasping (72). The grip is held by a user across the grasping to manipulate the console according to a guiding unit (11, 12, 13). An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
