The device has two chassis blocks (12, 13) enclosing a pole (11) placed horizontally supporting hammers (2) equipped with a wedge (1). A cutting hole (3) is activated by hammers (25) that are positioned on an upper part of a set of chassis (2). Jacks (9) ensure the direction and the stability of the set of the device. A screw evacuates waste materials of the tunnel face towards back of a tunnel boring machine.
