The decorative button cover for a garment has a hollow fixing cap (1) to receive the button (1A) and with a cylindrical recess to receive the button, partially formed by a narrow tongue (3) and a wider tongue (4) on each half of the cap. The tongues are offset to allow angular insertion of the button. The decorative cover itself (6) snap fits over the cap.
