The device has an exhaust gas temperature sensor at an inlet of a turbine of a turbo compressor. A temperature feedback system has a regulator (41) to receive a value to set a temperature (39) based on a request (32) from a driver of a motor vehicle and another value (39a) of temperature measured by the sensor to supply a corrected value (62) of the capacity of the fuel injected to a diesel engine. An independent claim is also included for a procedure of regulating the capacity of fuel injected in a diesel engine of a motor vehicle.
