The fuel filter (1) comprises a casing (2) with an inlet (5) on the non-filtered side (13) and an outlet (6) on the filtered side (14). A filter element (7) is between the non-filtered and filtered sides. A water separation and evacuation device is provided on both the non-filtered and filtered sides. Each device comprises a collecting chamber (19,20) provided with an outlet orifice (21,22) which can be closed by a joint (18,28).
