The terminal has a universal serial bus with one or more connectors, and official software applications. The applications permit the arrangement of basic functions e.g. text processing, printing, photocopying, fax and video games. A smart card reader is arranged for downloading drivers of apparatus connected to the universal serial bus and software application. An independent claim is also included for a secured data transmitting process performed using the satellite terminal of the invention.
