The cover has a support structure (3) and a pedestrian protection body (23), situated on an opposing side of a component in an engine compartment. A noise absorption body (26) is provided on a face of the cover turned towards the component, to absorb noise waves from the component. The absorption body serves as a mechanical protection for absorption of shocks due to collision of the component against the cover. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a coupling component for coupling a cover of a component in an engine compartment of a vehicle, on a connecting piece at the side of the engine (b) a coupling assembly including a connecting unit, fixed to a side of the engine, and a coupling component.
