The system has a vending machine (1) equipped with a payment unit (11) for permitting a payment of the food product by a smart card (2). A recharging unit is included in a management module (3) to credit the card. The management module has a slot for introduction of a card identifying an authorized person to proceed for recharging of the card, and another slot for introduction of the card to be recharged.
