The process involves selecting an original digital video sequence from bank of original digital video sequences by a user, to activate transmission of the video sequence in a nominal format with modified video contents. An information that is personalized for the user and complementary to the selected sequence is registered and provided during viewing of the modified video sequence, in a support medium e.g. DVD. An independent claim is also included for a digital video sequence distribution system.
