Production of hollow alumina particles by stages of creation of atomized liquid microdroplets from an aqueous solution of aluminum nitrate or acetate and surfactant or organic acid, by ultrasonic irradiation, selection of microdroplets of predetermined size or smaller by an air current, passage of the microdroplets through a furnace and combustion in air.
