The module includes at least one hydrophone (2) and a coupling which fills the space between the module and the wall of the shaft and fixes the module. The module has a protective element in resin in which the hydrophone is embedded, the resin being designed to transmit the pressure variations caused by seismic waves. At least one geophone (3) is embedded in a hard resin protective element (4) which in turn is coated in the hydrophone's protective element. The hydrophone (2), the geophone (3) and a transformer (12) connected to the hydrophone are placed in this order along an axis of the module. A tubular armature contains the hydrophone, with at least one opening (6) at the level of the hydrophone and covered at least at each opening by the resin. The coupling agent is a cement. An independent claim is also included for measuring seismic waves using such a device.
