The installation has a unit for accessing a database corresponding to a list of recipients. A control unit is adapted to transmit information corresponding to a printed matter (7) of a packaging unit e.g. container (9), to a computer unit (2). The computer unit compares the information with a data extracted from the database corresponding to the list for identifying the printed matter of the packaging unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing a printed matter.
