The device has an enclosed space (3) including distinct inlets (4, 8) for effluent gases (5, 6) with an oxidant and a residual fuel. A reactive unit (7) and the enclosed space are conformed to guide the effluent gases at the level of two respective opposite faces of the reactive unit. The reactive unit has a connection unit that communicates the effluent gases within the reactive unit. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle having a fuel cell that includes a device for post processing of effluent gases.
