The invention relates to procurement system for a plurality of organisations which has a common database having a plurality of common entries, together with appropriate access controls and one or more individual provider databases having a plurality of individual entries. The individual entries are mapped to one or more or the plurality of common entries. The invention is particularly suitable for use in a e-procurement system having a large number of members with existing information systems. The common database may comprise a common contract database enabling participating organisations to manage common procurement contracts.
