Furniture fitted with a motor driven body stretching device to extend the spine of the user

A piece of furniture (1) such as a bed, seat or chair has a body stretching device (2) affixed to brackets (121 , 141) on the seat back and on the seat base. The stretching device includes an electric motor (21), a telescopic actuator (22) and a handlebar (23) affixed to the upper end of the actuator. The motor is activated by at least one button (233) , but may have two buttons; located adjacent to a pair handgrips (232). The motor drives the actuator thus extending or retracting the handlebars accordingly. The motor may be affixed to a base which is pivotally connected to the furniture. The handlebar may be attached to a vertical connecting rod (231) and the furniture may include a guide tube (121) that allows vertical movement of the handlebar but prevents rotational movement.
