Hoop stress and compressive yield tubular expansion

A tubing expansion device (10) includes a fixed expansion member (14) for expanding the tubing by inducing hoop stress when the device is moved down the inside of the tubing. The device also includes a number of roller expanders (16, fig 2) which expand the tubing (12) by compressive stress.
