PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant growth promoter having growth promoting effect not smaller than a certain growth promoting effect when used in production sites of actual farm products and excellent in safety and convenience, and to provide a method for promoting the growth of plants.;SOLUTION: The plant growth promoter comprises soybean whey and a microorganism of the genus Bacillus.
