PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment method used when a heavy metal component in an organic substance is analyzed, capable of simply and rapidly decomposing the organic substance using high-temperature and pressure water or supercritical water, and to provide a reaction vessel and a batch-type hydrothermal decomposition system which are used in a method for analyzing heavy metals in the organic substance and used in the pretreatment method for the organic substance analysis. PSOLUTION: The batch-type hydrothermal decomposition system which is used in the pretreatment method, carried out when the heavy metal component in the organic substance, is equipped with the reaction vessel; a heating section, capable of heating the inside of the reaction vessel at 200C or higher; and a temperature control section for the heating section. In the reaction vessel, a wall surface in the vessel containing the organic substance and water is made up of a nickel base alloy or a gold alloy. After decomposing the organic substance by using the high-temperature and pressure water or the supercritical water whose temperature and pressure are 200C or higher and 10 MPa or higher, the heavy metal component in the organic substance are analyzed.
