PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standing-up assisting element for making a person with a weak lower body able to easily stand up from the state of lying on a floor, to assist body actions of shifting among a supine position, a standing position and a sitting position stepwise, to execute improvement to a flexibly shiftable furniture structure, and to support an independent life. PSOLUTION: In the furniture 7 for assisting standing-up, a lower top plate 2 having a size for resting the body by putting the upper limb on is provided on the top surface of a lower stage storage 1 at a height that a hand can reach in the state of lying on the floor, and an upper top plate 4 having a size for resting the body by putting the upper limb on is provided on the top surface of an upper stage storage 3 at the height that a hand can reach in a half-sitting state of resting the body on the lower top plate 2. In the furniture 8 for assisting sitting, a sitting top plate 5 having a size for sitting is provided and a seat surface is formed on the top surface of the lower stage storage at the height that a hand can reach in the state of lying on the floor, and a back plate 6 erected on one side of the sitting surface is provided.
