KIT FOR PENETRATING CARDIAC SEPTUM AND FOR PLACEMENT OF TRANS-SEPTAL DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR OF PLACEMENT OF STIMULATION PROBE IN LEFT HEART CAVITY

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kit for penetrating a cardiac septum and for the replacement of a trans-septal device, in particular of the replacement of a stimulation probe in a left heart cavity. PSOLUTION: This kit has a penetration guide 16, a handling stylet 34, a piercing stylet and a guide stylet. The penetration guide 16 has a flexible hollow sheath 22. and comprises probe heads 18 and 24 having a probe body for continuously receiving these stylets, and an extendable helicoid screw body 20 to be fixed to a cardiac septum 10. The piercing stylet has a sharp distal extremity emerging on a frontal face through an anchor 20 by going over a distance equal to the local thickness of at least the cardiac septum 10 so as to traverse through the cardiac septum. The guide stylet is introduced into the sheath for forming an axial guide for traversing the cardiac septum for introducing therethrough of the trans-septal device after withdrawal of the piercing guide 16.
