PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism having excellent telomerase inhibiting activity and provide a telomerase inhibiting agent produced by using the microorganism. PSOLUTION: A microorganism of the genus Shewanella (e.g. Shewanella NB6603: FERM P-19702) having telomerase inhibiting action and a telomerase inhibiting agent containing the cell of the microorganism or extract of the cell as an active component.
