VEHICLE SPARE TIRE PRESSURE DETECTION ASSEMBLY AND SPARE TIRE MONITORING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect pressure of a spare tire without using a tire pressure gauge.;SOLUTION: The vehicle spare tire pressure detection assembly includes a tire support/lifting unit for executing function for lifting and storing the spare tire; and a spare tire pressure detection unit 20 for executing function for monitoring the pressure of the spare tire when the spare tire is in the storage state. The tire support/lifting unit maintains initial compression force deflecting a wall of the spare tire. The spare tire pressure detection unit 20 monitors adjustment performed by the tire support/lifting unit in order to maintain the initial compression force of the spare tire and determines whether or not the pressure of the spare tire is reduced and becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold value. When the pressure of the spare tire becomes smaller than the predetermined threshold value, a signal detectable by a person is produced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
