PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a high-frequency characteristic of a coaxial cable without using a dedicated cable.;SOLUTION: The coaxial cable 10 is provided with the center conductor 10a, an insulation coating layer 10b, a shield conductor 10c and a protection coating layer 10d. When measurement-evaluating the high-frequency characteristic of the cable 10, a solidified body 12 of a solidifying resin is formed at first in an end part of the coaxial cable 10, and a right-angledly cut cross-section 14 is formed thereafter by cutting the cable 10 right-angledly with respect to its longitudinal direction. Then, a measuring terminal 22 provided in one end part of a contact probe 20 is brought into contact respectively with the center conductor 10a exposed in the cut end face 14 of the coaxial cable 10 and the shield conductor 10c. Since a high-frequency characteristic measuring and evaluating device is connected to the measuring terminal 22, the device is operated to measurement-evaluate the high-frequency characteristic of the coaxial cable 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
