PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic ultrasonic probe having high transmission-reception sensitivity, and to provide an ultrasonic flaw detection method.;SOLUTION: An array type electromagnetic ultrasonic probe (EMAT)100 is equipped with a magnetizer 11 for applying a bias magnetic field to a material T to be inspected, a plurality of transmission sensor coils 12 for transmitting an ultrasonic wave into the material T to be inspected and a plurality of receiving sensor coils 12 for receiving the ultrasonic wave reflected from the material T to be inspected. The transmission sensor coils 12 and/or the receiving sensor coils 12 comprise meander coils being 3-6 in the number of rows. At the time of ultrasonic flaw detection, the current feed timing to a plurality of the transmission sensor coils 12 and/or the timing for superposing the ultrasonic signals received by a plurality of the respective receiving sensor coils 12 one upon another is altered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
