PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention system that makes the most of a camera function and a communication function for crime prevention in unmanned environment wherein karaoke is not used.;SOLUTION: A camera-equipped communication karaoke device that is equipped with a user interface, the camera, and a crime-preventive contact place storage means and communicates data to a host device through a telephone line is further equipped with a control means of executing, according to mode setting by the user interface: a karaoke user photographic mode in which a karaoke user is photographed in response to input at a user interface and the photographed video is displayed on a karaoke monitor; and a crime prevention mode in which abnormality detection processing of analyzing variation in ambient brightness on the basis of the video output of the camera and performing abnormality notification processing when the variation is large and abnormality notification processing of dialing a telephone number stored in the crime preventive contact place storage means and sending a sound pickup signal of a microphone to a call termination side when the termination side responds.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
