PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent furniture from falling down at the time of earthquake without using any fitting or screw for fixing.;SOLUTION: An approximate portal shape earthquake-resistant structure body 1 is made by connecting the upper parts of side plates 2, 3 on both sides, which has approximately the same length with the distance between a floor F and a ceiling R where the furniture is installed, by two upper and lower top plates 4, 5. The furniture is held not to fall down through the earthquake-resistant structure body 1 between the floor F and the ceiling R of a building at the time of earthquake by setting the furniture (a sideboard 20) in a way that it is stored in a space surrounded by the lower top plate 5 and the side plates 2, 3 on both sides.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
