PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system where a computer system platform can perform additional color management based on the state of content and an arbitrary appropriate color management policy by intervening content work flow. PSOLUTION: Profile data from a source is inputted to a platform at a choke point and then converted into an intermediate color space. In response to a current color content, profile data, and/or platform policy control, a color management input is managed to alter color management data immediately or later, or to neglect or combine the color management data.
