PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting real time multimedia data in an Ethernet(R) network for effectively implementing real time multimedia data transmission in the Ethernet(R) network that operates in a CSMA/CD scheme by suppressing the occurrence of a collision in the transmission of real time data to solve a problem of a delay time variation.;SOLUTION: The method includes; in the real time data transmission in the Ethernet(R) network, a first step of defining an RT-IFG shorter than IFG of real time data and giving priority over general Ethernet(R) data, and a second step of applying an MPCP protocol for data transmission without a collision between the real time data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
