PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the electric discharge by suppressing secondary electric discharge from the electrode side face and to realize high-speed machining in electric discharge machining for deep drilling.;SOLUTION: An insulator is arranged around an electrode having a simple shape. The periphery of the electrode is filled with a fine powder mixed liquid. Then, the electric discharge machining is carried out. The diameters of fine powder are from 1 μm to several tens of μm. A conductive thin wire or a conductive round bar is used as the electrode. Fine powder of such as silicon, graphite, and conductive ceramic is mixed into a machining liquid such as water which is easily ionized. Metal fine powder of aluminum, titanium or the like is mixed into a kerosene type machining liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
