ANTIBODY ENZYME AGAINST CHEMOKINE RECEPTOR CCR-5, GENE ENCODING THE SAME, TRANSFORMED BODY TRANSDUCED WITH THE SAME GENE, AND ANTI-HIV MEDICINE UTILIZING THEM
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antibody enzyme capable of decomposing a chemokine receptor CCR-5 which is a co-receptor of AIDS virus (HIV) to eliminate its function and being utilized for preventing the infection with the AIDS virus or treating AIDS, and an anti-HIV medicine utilizing the same enzyme.;SOLUTION: A monoclonal antibody is prepared by using a peptide constituting an extracellular domain of the chemokine receptor CCR-5 as an immunizing source, and the amino acid sequences and base sequences of variable regions of an H-chain and L-chain in the monoclonal antibody are decided. Then, molecular modelings regarding the amino acid sequences are performed to estimate their three-dimensional structures and whether or not they have each a catalytic triad residual structure, is identified. The monoclonal antibodies, ECL2B-2 and ECL2B-3 having the catalytic triad residual structures are collected as the antibody enzymes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
