PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing Zn-based scale generated in a driving steam-condensed water system of equipment for degassing molten steel in vacuum from being stuck to a packing material in a cooling tower for cooling driving steam-condensed water since a Ca-based scale adhesion preventing method is proposed but a method for restraining Zn-based scale peculiar to the equipment for degassing molten steel is not established.;SOLUTION: Air is blown in condensed water to diffuse carbon dioxide from the condensed water before the condensed water is sent to the cooling tower in the driving steam-condensed water system of the equipment for degassing molten steel. The pH of the condensed water is raised by ≥0.5 in comparison with that of the condensed water before air is blown by diffusing carbon dioxide to deposit a precipitate before the condensed water is sent to the cooling tower so that scale is prevented from being stuck to the packing material in the cooling tower.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
