PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a response surrogate system capable of confirming whether the setting for starting the service is already executed or not before the arrival of a response impossible scheduled time zone set by a user of a portable telephone.;SOLUTION: The response surrogate system to be disclosed is provided with a response surrogate device 10 which is connected to the portable telephone 1 and a caller telephone 2 via a communication network. The response surrogate device 10 is provided with a database 20 in which schedule information is registered including a telephone number of the portable telephone and a response message for every scheduled time zone; a time monitoring means 33 for monitoring the arrival of the scheduled time zone; a confirmation request information transmitting means 35 for transmitting confirmation request information including a confirmation request message, in which the setting for starting the service is already executed, to the portable telephone 1; a calling information receiving means 37 which receives calling information including the telephone number of the portable telephone, the telephone number of a calling telephone, and a calling time from the caller telephone 2; and a response information transmitting means 38 which searches the schedule information from the calling information and transmits the response message to the caller telephone 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
