PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute plate dividing processing by taking granularity of an image caused by dots of the chromatic secondary color ink and saving of ink into consideration when the chromatic primary color ink and the chromatic secondary color ink are available.;SOLUTION: An ink set, which includes a plurality of the chromatic primary color ink capable of reproducing an achromatic color by combining with each other and using it and at least one chromatic secondary color ink having the hue different from all of a plurality of the chromatic primary color ink, is made available. When an actual ink amount to a maximum ink amount of the chromatic secondary color ink decided corresponding to the color to be reproduced is called a secondary color ink usage rate, the ink amount of the chromatic secondary color ink is decided so that the secondary color ink usage rate when the hue is relatively close to the chromatic secondary color ink becomes smaller than that of when the hue is relatively close to the chromatic primary color ink.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
