PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor for methanol synthesis capable of increasing methanol production.;SOLUTION: The reactor for methanol synthesis comprises a reaction vessel, 1st to 3rd partition walls for dividing the reaction vessel into a synthesis gas collection chamber, a cooling medium flow-through chamber, a reaction product gas residence chamber and a synthesis gas flow-in chamber, a synthesis gas feed section set at the bottom of the reaction vessel, a cooling medium feed section set on the sidewall of the reaction vessel, a cooling medium discharge section set on the sidewall of the reaction vessel, a plurality of reaction tubes set in the cooling medium flow-through chamber, a plurality of inner tubes inserted into the respective reaction tubes, with the lower ends extended into the reaction product gas residence chamber, a plurality of synthesis gas introduction tubes whose lower ends penetrate via the 3rd partition wall into the reaction product gas residence chamber and communicate with the synthesis gas flow-in chamber and whose upper ends are disposed so as to be joined to the lower ends of the respective inner tubes, a methanol synthesis catalyst bed packed in a partial area of the reaction product gas residence chamber where the respective inner tubes are extended from the annular space between the inner tubes and the reaction tubes, and a reaction product gas discharge section set on the sidewall of the reaction vessel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
