PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method of linearity in consideration of also the oblique direction.;SOLUTION: In this evaluation method of linearity of a resistance film type touch panel, voltage values V at a plurality of measuring points set matrically at fixed intervals respectively in the longitudinal and lateral directions of a panel are detected in the state where a constant voltage is applied, and the plurality of voltage values are divided by approximate centers respectively in the longitudinal and lateral directions of the panel into four blocks (A-D). Then, two blocks on the opposite angle are treated as a group respectively, and a linearity coefficient C of a group is calculated by a fixed calculation formula to evaluate the linearity, based on the voltage values at two measuring points on the opposite angle and on the outermost corners of the two blocks of the group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
