PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for largely producing metal hyperfine particles by a process where flocculation does not occur, production cost is low, and the recycling of the raw material is possible.;SOLUTION: The method for producing hyperfine particles comprises: melting raw material metal; obtaining hyperfine particles from a melt of the raw material by a gas atomization method; recovering the hyperfine particles, wherein a gaseous mixture of gaseous H2 and an inert gas is used as a gas for atomizing.
