PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for largely producing metal hyperfine particles by a process where flocculation does not occur, production cost is low, and the recycling of the raw material is possible.;SOLUTION: The method for producing hyperfine particles comprises: melting raw material metal; obtaining hyperfine particles from a melt of the raw material by a gas atomization method; recovering the hyperfine particles, wherein a gaseous mixture of gaseous H₂ and an inert gas is used as a gas for atomizing. It is preferable that He is used as the inert gas and the volume mixing ratio of the gaseous H₂ prescribed as [the gaseous H₂/(the gaseous H₂+the gaseous He)] falls within the range of 0.01 to 30 vol%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
