PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a display for the time sharing gray scale display which drives the display for displaying gray scales in time sharing, and to suppress the maximum value of the current flowing in the display for time sharing gray scale display equipped with such driving device.;SOLUTION: The driving device includes a combination of: a first lighting scanning line driving section which lights respective first color pixels of scanning lines having the first, second and third color pixel from above to below by each of the scanning lines according to respective pieces of first data from the respective first data lines; and a first lights out scanning line driving section which puts out the respective first color pixels lighted by the first lighting scanning line driving section from above to below by each of the scanning line, and also includes similar combinations relating to the second and third color pixels as well. Further, the driving device includes a first color signal driving section which applies respective pieces of the first data through the respective pieces of the first data lines for each color pixel, for each color signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
