PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centering guide device for columnar or cylindrical long objects capable of precisely centering the objects all the time without deforming them and generating external damages.;SOLUTION: The centering guide device consists of a pair of approachable/separable parallel first guide rolls 11a, 11b and a pair of approachable/separable parallel second guide rolls 12a, 12b orthogonal to the first guide rolls 11a, 11b on a parallel face, and connects the first guide rolls 11a, 11b with the second guide rolls 12a, 12b by a transmission mechanism 13 synchronously making an expanding/contracting operation. The transmission mechanism 13 is comprised of a first feed screw 14, such as a longitudinal feed screw, approaching/separating the first guide rolls 11a, 11b, a second feed screw 15, such as a longitudinal feed screw, approaching/separating the second guide rolls 12a, 12b, and a gear mechanism 16 connecting the first feed screw 14 with the second feed screw 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
