PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring and stabilizing pH standard buffer solutions capable of a stable measurement for a long time by maintaining the carbonate ion concentration in a measuring cell and performing measurement without causing changes in the hydrogen ion concentration.;SOLUTION: In the apparatus for measuring and stabilizing pH standard buffer solutions, reflux gas having carbonate gas and steam as main components discharged from a Harned Cell supplied with a flow of hydrogen gas containing saturated water vapor and a prescribed amount of carbon dioxide is refluxed and fed to the Harned Cell again into the flow of hydrogen gas. The apparatus is made of outer walls and inner walls which form a closed space, the flow of hydrogen gas is passed through the inner walls, the reflux gas is introduced to the space between the outer walls and the inner walls, and the inner walls are gas permeable films.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
