PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a thrust needle bearing, a thrust needle bearing, and a compressor using the same bearing for a car air conditioner capable of further improving lubricating performance while load capacity is maintained.;SOLUTION: An axial distance L1 between an inner peripheral flange 16h1 and an outer peripheral flange 16h2 of the retainer 16h is set to be smaller than an axial distance L2 of the retaining section 16h3 (L1L2). Therefore, a lubricant can be easily entered into the inside from the outside via a gap so that the gap of the lowermost value (L2-L1) between both distances is generated even though the retainer 16h is firmly stuck together with a raceway ring 16f. Upon improving its lubricating property, excessive wear and overheating can be restrained even though the compressor for a car air conditioner is a constantly rotating type compressor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
