PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal capable of quickly positioning while always utilizing effective satellite information, a method of location acquisition in the information terminal, a program for demonstrating a position acquisition function in the information terminal, and an information recording medium with the recorded program for demonstrating the position acquisition function in the information terminal.;SOLUTION: The information terminal 11 detects receivable satellite radio waves using satellite information 37 regarding satellites 3a, 3b, and 3c, and performs positioning based on the detectable satellite radio waves. The information terminal 11 characteristically comprises: receiving means 11h, 31h for receiving satellite radio waves; a memory means 11b for analyzing the satellite radio waves and memorizing received satellite information 37; an efficacy determination means 34 for determining the efficiency of the acquired satellite information 37; and a satellite information acquisition means 33 for acquiring the satellite information 37 which are acquired by the other information terminals 111a, 111b, and 111c by utilizing radio communication when the efficacy of the acquired information 37 is negated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
