PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorous amide (fluorous DMF) keeping the characteristic features of formamide and acetamide which are aprotic polar solvents having high functionality.;SOLUTION: The amide is expressed by formula (I), satisfies the requirements that (1) it is a substituted amide, (2) it has a fluorous tag, (3) it is liquid at a temperature (15-200°C) ordinarily used as a solvent and (4) it does not decompose at the above temperature, and is recoverable with a fluorous solvent and reusable. When the amide is used in combination with a fluorous catalyst, both substances can be recovered at the same time and reused.
