PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a quaternary ammonium salt of plane asymmetry containing various substituent groups, which has hitherto no example of reports, from a medium-ring amine of plane asymmetry found by a discoverer and a function as its asymmetric reagent.;SOLUTION: Various quaternary ammonium salts of plane asymmetry are synthesized by using a medium-ring amine having plane asymmetry stable at a room temperature. The quaternary ammonium salts of plane asymmetry are obtained even as optically active substances.
